To save a forest, use it! There’s no need to feel guilty when using paper or wood-based products because choosing wood keeps southern forests strong and healthy.
In fact, we need more wood products in the world. Not only are forest-based products highly renewable and durable; they also continue to store carbon as lumber in our homes and buildings, wood in our kitchen table, and the more than 5,000 paper and packaging products we use every day.
As consumers, you can feel good about ditching single-use plastic and opting for goods from the woods that supports private forest landowners who actively manage over 85% of the region's 245 million acres of timberlands.
